Formation of national-patriotic competence of senior-graders during the study of the creativity of Vasyl Stus

Relevance of the study. The current state of school education is aimed at the humanization and humanitarianization of learning. Its main goal is to develop independence, creativity, creativity of the student, his unique individuality. The primary task of the school sector is the formation of a versatile personality, a patriot, a conscious citizen of Ukraine, who has formed moral and national ideals. The work of Vasyl Stus, one of the brightest Ukrainian poets and fighters for freedom of speech, is an extremely rich material for the formation of national-patriotic competence. Stus's poems are full of deep philosophical content, complex moral and ethical issues that stimulate students to reflection, analysis and discussion. In addition, the study of his works contributes to the formation of national consciousness, patriotism and moral values. The purpose of the article is to trace the specifics of the formation of national-patriotic competence of students during the study of Vasyl Stus's lyrics. Research methods: analysis of curricula, school textbooks; systematization of materials for the formation of theoretical foundations of the study; application of the descriptive method for the interpretation of scientific and critical literature on the topic; hermeneutic for the interpretation of texts, comparative method for comparing the features of teaching V. Stus's lyrics in 11th grades at the standard and profile levels; as well as the biographical method, which allowed us to explore the sources of themes and issues in the poet's works. Research content. The proposed article considers the problem of forming national-patriotic competence of eleventh graders during the study of the poetry of the dissident Vasyl Stus. Results. In the works that became the object of our analysis, the motifs of a person's unshakable faith in himself, his ability to overcome life's difficulties, as well as the image of death as the highest form of being dominate. Themes of spiritual development, responsibility for one's own choice, as well as internal contradictions and the search for the meaning of life are also often found.
