Abstract

Preparing future mathematics teachers to organize students' research activities is extremely relevant in the context of modern educational standards. These standards require students not only to master theoretical knowledge, but also to develop critical thinking skills, the ability to independently search for information, and solve problem situations. At the same time, modern mathematics teachers do not always have sufficient professional training to effectively organize students' research activities. This necessitates the development of methodological approaches and the introduction of new pedagogical technologies into the process of training future teachers. It is precisely the purpose of the work to familiarize with the experience of applying and analyzing some effective methods and approaches to the formation of such competencies that is the goal of the work. The authors investigate the process of forming the skills of managing students' research projects in higher education students majoring in “Secondary Education (Mathematics)”, and offer approaches to choosing the topic of students' research, their support and control. When working on the proposed topic, such general scientific methods as theoretical analysis of scientific and methodological literature, comparative analysis of pedagogical experience, and generalization of the results of practical activities on organizing students' research work in the educational process were used. The article examines various forms of organizing scientific and research activities of schoolchildren, such as individual and group projects, participation in competitions and Olympiads, mathematical circles, experimental research and integrated interdisciplinary research. Particular attention is paid to the method of generalizing known results, which is illustrated by the example of an Olympiad problem in mathematics. It is shown how to analyze mathematical patterns, how to systematize or vary known problems and formulate research tasks in mathematics for students. The use of such methods allows future mathematics teachers to acquire skills in posing problems, finding new solutions, developing research projects and guiding student research. The results of the study can be used to improve the system of training mathematics teachers, as well as in the development of methodological recommendations for the implementation of research methods in school education.
