Communicative self-effectiveness of a future musician: diagnostic aspect

Abstract

The article is devoted to the urgent problem of forming communicative self-efficacy of future specialists in music. Based on the theoretical research of the leading American psychologist, the founder of the theory of self-efficacy A. Bandura, the essence of the phenomenon and its significance in achieving successful professional activity are revealed. The definition of communicative self-efficacy of future specialists in music is presented. A criterion-based approach to determining the level of communicative self-efficacy of students is presented. The following criteria and their indicators were considered as criteria and their indicators: introspective-stimulating (self-identification with experienced teachers of music as standards of professionalism; the presence of adequate self-assessment of one's actions in the field of professional communication, the desire to achieve success, the effectiveness of communication); intellectual-processual (awareness in the communicative field of musical-pedagogical professional activity, the presence of skills and abilities in professional communication); emotional positional (confidence in the possibility of carrying out productive communication in musical and pedagogical professional activities, emotionality, activity, responsibility, tolerance, ability to self-regulation and self-reinforcement). A range of diagnostic tools is presented to determine the levels of formation of communicative self-efficacy of future specialists in musical art: self-identification (test by M. Kuhn, T. McPartland “Who Am I?”), content characteristics of personality identity, methodology for studying personality self-esteem by V. Semichenko, confidence in the possibility of carrying out successful, productive communication in professional activities (test by P. Yakubovsky), measurement of manifestations of emotions (“Emotional Stability – Instability Scale” method by G. Eysenck), “Tendency to Stress” (methodology by J. Jenkenson), assessment of students' self-control in communication, determination of self-efficacy in the sphere of communication of a future specialist in musical and pedagogical activities (test by M. Snyder).
