The purpose of the article is the introduction to scientific circulation of the archival materials on the activities of Academician Ignaty Yulianovich Krachkovsky, who was the President of the Commission of USSR Academy of Sciences in the winter months of blockade of Leningrad. List of vigorous action by Krachkovsky and their chronology convince in his usefulness. Therefore, the viewpoint of the Communist Party, who negatively evaluated the activities of Krachkovsky, looks unfair.
