Symbolization as a Way to Rationalize a Legal Reality

Abstract
Legal sign (symbol) is defined as a tangible information carrier that is understandable to a certain legal culture medium within which this sign operates; it possesses a clear pragmatic feature ? the reflection of human practical interests in his/her behaviour (lifestyle), activities (social entity functioning) and the way of thinking (evaluation of socio-cultural space objects). Law is presented as a symbolic information and communicative model of legal behaviour of social subject, options of inter-subjective and subject-objective social relations (legal in particular), as well as legal reality. Article systematized signs (symbols) that use in legal reality. They divided the scheme: people as signs, behavior as signs, symbolic artifacts and symbolic images. These signs help distinguish between lawful and unlawful conduct, perform the prevention function (warn against contact with the criminal element and even protect from unwanted consequences), and store and transmit information about the crime (traces reproduce action or event). That legal signs defines, marks, classifies, structuring, organizes and regulates the legal reality.
