Abstract
The research objective of this study is twofold: On the one hand, it aims at analysing the multifaceted EU-Russia relations as seen from different theoretical/conceptual approaches. On the other hand, this paper examines how the EU-Russia dialogue is organised in sectoral terms-economy, trade, visa regime liberalisation, local conflict management, etc. Both progress and problematic areas in the EU-Russia bilateral relations are identified. The need for a radical change in the existing conceptual framework of the EU-Russia relations and the search of a new, more efficient, EURussian joint strategy is explained.
