Abstract
The features of chronotop are analyzed in the novel ?Black Lake? by V. Gzhytskyi. Three closely interconnected levels of the structure of the novel chronotop are defined: plot, character, and author. In addition, other classification types of chronotops are figured out in the novel: national, social, historical, psychological, astronomical etc. A great attention is also paid to the smallest units of chronotop titles (topos) of lakes, rivers, mountains, home and so on. An attempt was carried out to show the chronotop functions in plot and character creation as well as to reveal the correlation between genre and style parameters and chronotop.
