Quest as a main storyline of the English fantasy genre

Abstract
In the article the realization of quest is considered in the English fantasy works. Quest is considered as the main storyline in the fantasy works. Fantasy work combines the elements of a fairy tale and myth, one of the most important feature and difference of fantasy work from the tale is a particular plot ? a description of the hero’s way “quest”. In mythology and literature, the quest, the path to the goal, serves as a means of the plot and as a symbol. The main idea of the quest is that the heroes usually face certain difficulties during their quest or after the goal reaching. Passing quest the main hero answers to key questions and reaches the goals.
