Modern challenges in the aspect of reformation of the local self-government and territorial organization of power in Ukraine

This article analyzes the role of local authorities in ensuring the stability of communities and achieving sustainable development goals. Investigated and solved the problem of communities, the perspectives of reforming local government in the context of world and Ukrainian experience. The author analyzes а following challenges, which are the residents of modern Ukraine: strategic planning; decentralization and transfer of more powers to the local level; reform of local self-government and territorial organization of power in Ukraine; merger of local community; integration of citizens who have moved temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine and districts of the antiterrorist operation in other regions of Ukraine in the local communities; de-communization and others. The conceptual positions, recommendations and offers as for the legal regulation of the public relations in the area of local authority in Ukraine.
