Abstract

Today, devoloping within the globalization communication technologies into the traditional mass media, the internet social network, except communicating it is free, participatory, and easily accessible for anyone who acts as an intermediary with the fact that the construction of social identity. For civil society, cultural, political, economic, global, and even as a denominator, the default internet social media, whether it is virtual, but often debated a new and democratic public space. Although a public space because social media democratic the authority of any away when need be, as a response “censored” are mounted. In contrast to this situation, there are important issues at the point of controllability of freedom in the context of social media. As the cornerstone of democracy, the public sphere is caused by social media, which limits/assembled need to be reviewed. In this study, the internet will be examined on the basis of whether or not the democratic democratization of social media is provided by default, so that the assumptions of social media, whether it is a virtual public space will be discussed.
