Abstract
To study the condition of deep veins after posterior vena cava Allotransplantation of posterior vena cava was carried out in 14 rabbits. A morphological study of vascular anastomosis and surrounding tissues was performed. Changes in posterior vena cava during the first 30 days after allotransplantation were attributed to surgical trauma causing the damage of the endothelium, local edema, inflammatory infiltration, and formation of thrombotic masses at vascular anastomosis. Allotransplant does not cause any specific immune reactions or impairments in hemostasis within the first 30 days after surgical procedure which makes it biologically inert and comfortable to work with. Such allotransplants comply with the vascular anatomical architectonics which allows for optimal adaptation of donor vein to recipient vessels.
