Abstract

The agrimony ordinary grass ? medicinal plant raw material introduced into the Russian official medical practice as effective medicines at the gallbladder diseases, disorders of the stomach and intestines, as a diuretic in kidney stones, rheumatism; when applied topically for inflammatory diseases of the nose and throat, dermatitis and furunculosis. When reading the draft monograph on the agrimony ordinary grass, presents of Federal state budgetary institution ?Scientific centre expertise of medical products? of The Ministry of health of the Russian Federation (FSBI ?SCEMP? MHRF ) we noted a fuzzy description, in particular, hairs of leaf and uninformative pictures. We presented the results of independent microscopic examination of the microscopic characteristics of the sheet; of the herb agrimony ordinary to explore and clarify microdiagnostics signs. We found hairs of three types: 1) simple, single-celled hairs with a pointed tip with a wavy surface or with a smooth surface, including large hairs with a wide cavity, exceeding the rest in length by 3-5 times. Around the point of attachment of the hairs expressed socket cells of the epidermis. 2) capitate hairs, 1-2 cell, usually glandular head and with 1-2 stem cell; 3) glandular hairs with a large spherical head and a short unicellular stalk. In the parenchyma of the leaf, especially along the veins, contain inclusions of calcium oxalate mostly in the form of drusen, rarely rhombic crystals. The hairs of the third type and the crystals in the form of drusen in the draft monograph on the agrimony herb is not described.
