Abstract

Summary: Diabetes mellitus [T2DM] II type ? one of the most common diseases, which is a global health problem and a threat to human health. This is due to the tendency to increase the number of such patients, especially among people of working age (40-59 years), and the presence of numerous complications, determine the severity of the disease. At the heart complications of T2DM is hyperglycemia and lipid peroxidation, which leads to oxidative stress. One of the leading role in the pathogenesis of type II diabetes genetic predisposition plays. Despite the polygenic nature of T2DM, gene polymorphism PPARG is the main marker of the disease. Homozygotes with 12Pro (PPARG) more likely to develop oxidative stress and vascular complications in T2DM, than carriers of allele Ala.
