STUDY OF FEMINISM AND SEXISM IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE

Language is a product of the development of the society. The use of language also reflects the social discrimination like a mirror. We can find problems in society and culture through the language. Sexism is a phenomenon of society which is a kind of discrimination by one sex against the other, especially by males against females. Applied to English language, this biased representation of the sexes concerns the portrayal of men as the norm and women as the appendage or the exception in language.
