Labour education at secondary schools of the Kharkiv province in the second half of the XIXth ? at the beginning of the XXth centuries

The process of introduction of labour education at the secondary schools of the Kharkiv province in the second half of the XIXth ? at the the beginning of the XXth centuries was investigated in the article. It was shown that the introduction of labour education at the different types of secondary schools had been on irregularly. The subjects of labour education were manual training, handicraft and needlework. They were facultative and were taught according to the operating-thing system. It is accentuated that labour education was aimed to prepare youth to life and work in the new socio-economic conditions and to form the pupils’ citizen characteristics.
