Improving reading skills foreign students on the lessons with ukrainian as a foreign language

The article considers the main benefits of student-centered learning and improving skills of reading popular science texts foreign students 1-2 courses in the classroom Ukrainian language technical specialties. Posted five stages of reading skills, basic principles of student interest in reading and learning about interesting information and lists specific skills that a student must pass in order to be able to work with a book and text. The emphasis is on independent work of students in the classroom reading of texts of any level of difficulty in understanding, not the reproduction of the text.
