Abstract
The article deals with the history of formation and peculiarities of Chicano ? Mexican-American Vernacular English. It is proved that Chicano English is distinct English dialect and one should not confuse it with an interaction between Spanish and English used by people who speak both languages or parts of both languages. The research of Mexican-American Vernacular English is very important for philologists because there are many people of Mexican descent in the USA and investigation of their dialect will improve the process of international communication.
