Abstract

Background: Research confirms that hospital work environment features are associated with improved patient outcomes including mortality and patient satisfaction. However, numerous assumptions exist about direct effect of hospital safety climate on patients’ outcomes and quality of care. Aim of the work: To investigate whether safe hospital climate influence patient satisfaction and quality of nursing care. Methods: Data were derived from 3 tools (hospital safety climate [HSC], patients’ satisfaction and health care providers’ questionnaires). Sample of 100 nurses and 95 patients, who admitted to Mansoura Emergency Hospital through 1 month, were included.
