Abstract
This article presents the complex research of the rhyme and rhythm, which are expressive means of stylistic phonetics. Features of rhyme and rhythm, which have an effect on female images formation in American song folklore are found out. Considerable attention is paid to the role of rhyme and rhythm in the structure of the song text. On the basis of the research consistent patterns of rhyme and rhythm usage in American song folklore are determined and described.
