Abstract
The article deals with phytonimic vocabulary motivation as a universal phenomenon of languages with different structures (English, Russian and Kazakh) based on thematic name groups of mushrooms, trees, shrubs and dwarf shrubs. Despite the fact that in recent years, many linguists are involved in research in the field of comparative motivology, some fragments of lexical units are in need of further development and expansion from the perspective of motivation theory.
