MODERN TECHNIQUES OF TEACHING ENGLISH

The variety of methods of teaching English allows to choose in his opinion the most effective variant suitable for this group. And sometimes the set of methods, taking into account advantages and disadvantages of all methods used at the lessons, leads to fruitful results. In this article the various methods of training foreign languages in higher education institutions are considered. The special attention was paid to the following techniques: direct, grammatical-translated, audiovisual, audiolingual and communicative. The communicative method starts holding a dominant position.
