Zoltan Sholtes’s creativity. Historiography of research

This article provides an overview of publications and scientific sources, which consider creative heritage and way of life of the outstanding representative of the Transcarpathian school of painting Zoltan Sholtes. This publication is structured and united in separate groups, revealing features of Transcarpathian school of painting and its representatives; trace the stages of the artist; evaluate the creative method and features of Z. Sholtes’s paintings. Archival sources allow to specify the activities of Z. Sholtes in the Transcarpathian branch of the Union of Artists of Ukraine.
