Abstract
The article considers conservation areas in Ukraine as an element of touristic recreation potential. The functional and territory structure of conservation areas is studied; the rate of conservation areas in regions and administrative-territorial units is calculated. The author states the issues and prospects of activity of conservation areas in Ukraine and the modern conditions of their usage in tourism as well.
