The samples composed 16 supporting staffs under Faculty of Education, Mahasarakham University with stress and volunteer for the treatment through purposive sample technique. They were divided in 2 groups through simple random sampling technique, the first group of 8 was under reality theory and the second group of 8 was under rational emotional and behavior theory. Each of the group was under the treatment 2 times a week, each time lasted for 60 minutes within 6 weeks continuously, totaling 12 times. The instruments were: 1) a questionnaire of 35-item with 5-rating scale of stress on work operation covering 5 aspects; Duty, Morale, Service, Colleague and Health with Item Correlation from 0.67-1.00, item discrimination powers ranging from 0.27 to 0.81 and the reliability of 0.94. 2) a program for group counseling based on reality theory and 3) a program for group counseling based on rational, emotional and behavior theory. The statistics for data analyses were The Wilcoxon Matched Pairs Signed-Ranks Test and The Mann-Whitney U Test. The results revealed that: 1) The stress on work operation of Mahasarakham University supporting staffs after the treatment through reality theory was decreased at the 0.05 level of statistical significance, 2) The stress on work operation of Mahasarakham University supporting staffs after the treatment through rational, emotional and behavior theory was decreased at the .05 level of statistical significance, and 3) The stress on work operation of Mahasarakham University supporting staffs through reality theory was not different from those through rational, emotional and behavior theory
