Abstract
The article analyzes age features of emotional and volitional regulation of human activities. It reveals the particular importance of adolescence in the formation of the person, as well as the impact of higher mental functions and the relation complex between them. It shows that the development of the child's personality reflects through the changes in the motivational hierarchy for activity as behavior, which depends on the environment. During this age period, the main motivational lines associated with the active pursuit of personal self: self-knowledge, self-expression and self-assertion.
