Abstract
Peculiarities of proteolysis regulation in patients with different severity of COPD have been revealed. The activity of trypsin-like proteinases and their inhibitors in blood and bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) in patients with COPD have been studied. The object of the study was blood plasma of 10 donors and 70 patients with COPD: 10 ? with mild disease and 20 - with moderate, severe and advanced stage of the disease. We assessed the activity of tripsin-like proteases (TPA) and their inhibitors α1-PI and α2-MG in blood plasma. We found out that the state of the proteolytic component of blood and BALF, tripsin-like proteases and their inhibitors in particular, may have both diagnostic and prognostic value for patients with COPD.
