Abstract

The article reveals the peculiarities of such terms as «self-realization», «self-knowledge», «self-realization», «self-esteem», «self-development». Based on the analysis of pedagogical, psychological and philosophical literary sources, the author gives a deep insight into the definitions and structure of these terms. So, self-realization is a number of processes (self-knowledge, self-esteem, self-development), aimed at disclosure of the capabilities, features, personality traits. Gradually these processes are realized in the production of positive and beneficial results for personality and society in general. The article also defines the main scientific approaches to the issue of self-realization. Thus, personal self-realization is considered in the context of self-knowledge and self-development; personal self-realization is studied in a way the human being uses his skills and capabilities in the life to achieve a certain result; specificity of personal self-realization is researched from the perspective of social activity and a permanent highly personal state; self-realization is treated as a comprehension of life purpose. The author analyzes the model of self-organization, which includes three main components: cognitive, practical and correction. So, the components of a cognitive block (introspection, self-knowledge, self-awareness, self-determination) give the answer to the question "what do I know?" They help the individual realize his potential and abilities. Practical block is a number of processes (self-programming, self-improvement, self-actualization and self-realization) that helps streamline the knowledge and answer the question "what should I do?". Analyzing these processes, the person makes a conscious life choice. Correction block of self-organization model includes the following processes: self-examination, self-esteem, self-control, self-government, which answers the question "what can I expect?". The author tries to circle out the socio-educational structure of self-realization that contains three elements: self-knowledge, self-esteem and self-development. So, self-knowledge involves the study of oneself, understanding one's abilities and opportunities. This process can be realized through introspection, self-analysis, self-awareness and self-determination. From the other hand, self-esteem helps the individual to recognize the importance and significance of his personality, to assess his strengths and weaknesses. Based on self-knowledge and self-identity the self-development process starts.
