Abstract

The design of the elastic-safety coupling for drives of flexible screw conveyors is substantiated, which, in addition to the safety ones, allows due to damping and elastic properties to ensure the smooth start of the auger during start-up of the drive and reduce the sharpness of changes in load on it during operation and overloads. The structural-power calculation of parameters of the mechanism of smooth start-up of elastic-safety couplings of flexible screw conveyors is presented. We have developed a method of constructive-force calculation of the parameters of the smooth start mechanism of the elastic-safety coupling of a flexible screw conveyor, according to which the mechanism of smooth start of the coupling is designed in the following sequence: the calculation of the parameters of the spring of the start; calculation of the key is performed; calculation of the pin is carried out. Modern methods of calculation with accuracy provide an opportunity to choose the design parameters of machine parts, taking into account the dynamics of their work. At the same time, many of the processes that occur with the mechanisms during operation, are poorly subjected to mathematical modeling, which requires reliable protection of these machines from overload. The requirements of reliability, low metal capacity and cost incurred for machines, necessitate further improvement and creation of new, precise and reliable protective elastic-safety couplings. This technique involves the use of well-known formulas for constructive-strength calculation of machine parts.
