RELEVANCE OF LEAN PRODUCTION CONCEPT IMPLEMENTATION (on the example of Volga Federal District`s regions)

The paper studies the relevance of lean production concept implementation at the enterprises of re- gions of the Russian Federation. It was found out that today the competitiveness of enterprises in Volga Federal District regions is impossible without optimization of production process, a lean approach to resource usage at the enterprise is necessary. The environmental indicators of Volga Federal District`s republics (Udmurtia, Mari El, Chuvashia) are studied. As a result it is assumed that the research and use of foreign enterprises` experience in the implementation of lean technologies in these regions are crucial. The necessity of system structure of work on implementation of lean technologies in regions of the Russian Federation is emphasized
