MODERN FUNCTIONS OF LOGISTICS STAFF MANAGEMENT

Abstract

It is determined that today the logistics staff of the organization should be considered as one of the most important factors of its effective functioning. In modern conditions, staff is the main strategic resource that can ensure the competitiveness of the company. It is established that the purpose of the study is to determine the main functions of logistics personnel management, which have developed at leading domestic enterprises under the influence of the introduction of advanced foreign technologies of personnel management. The authors found that many works of domestic and foreign scientists and practitioners are devoted to the issues of logistics personnel management. Contradictions in the interpretation of the term ‘logistics staff' have been identified. The composition and essence of logistics personnel are also determined. There are three groups of staff involved in the management of logistics processes of modern domestic companies. It is noted that the management of logistics personnel is a necessary component of management and development of the organization. For the effective functioning of the logistics personnel management system, it must be built on a scientifically sound basis, use optimal methods and technologies that meet the principles underlying it. The current functions of logistics personnel management are studied. These include: analysis and planning of logistics personnel; Selection and hiring of logistics staff; Evaluation of logistics personnel; Organization of training and advanced training; Certification and staff rotation; Motivation of logistics staff; Accounting of logistics personnel; Organization of labor relations; Creation of necessary working conditions; Social development and social partnership; Legal and information support. The peculiarities of improving the management of logistics personnel, namely the expansion of the powers of logistics personnel; Joint adoption of effective logistics decisions and creating an atmosphere of trust in the company; Development of career planning mechanisms for logistics staff; Comprehensive vision of problems and a holistic approach to the management of logistics personnel in conjunction with the strategic settings of the company; Creation of corporate culture of innovative type.
