Abstract

The article deals with the problem of teachers’ continuing professional development in Federal Republic of Germany, especially with pre-service training and induction stages. The analysis of scientific and pedagogic literature which highlights the main aspects of this problem has been conducted. The modern tendencies in continuing pedagogical education in Germany have been singled out. The specificity of pre-service training and induction period has been characterized, its advantages and disadvantages have been determined.
