Abstract

Introduction. The article notes the need to use not only traditional means of improving children's health in preschool institutions, but also non-traditional – health technologies, including non-traditional technologies. Purpose. The aim of the article is to analyze the content of traditional and non-traditional means of influencing the health of preschoolers, which can be used in health work of preschool educational institutions. Methods. Psychological and educational literature analysis, analogy, induction and deduction were used. Results. Analysis of the latest scientific achievements of teachers shows a variety of definitions of the main methods that contribute to maintaining and strengthening the health of preschool children: nutrition, daily routine, adequate sleep, indoor hygiene, exercise. Scientists include non-traditional means of health technologies: aromatherapy, phytotherapy, colour therapy, art therapy, bibliofairy-taletherapy, music therapy, sand therapy, fitball-gymnastics, sound, immune, finger and breathing gymnastics, psychogymnastics. In addition, non-traditional means should include non-traditional technologies: lithotherapy, stone therapy, su-jok therapy, qigong therapy, hatha yoga, and step aerobics. The preservation and strengthening of the health of preschoolers is facilitated by the use of bibliotherapy, which consists of two concepts: biblio- and fairy-tale therapy. Bibliotherapy is a reading stories, poems, humorous stories in order to influence both hyperactive (reading soothing literature) and hypoactive children (reading emotional literature). Fairy tale therapy is a reading fairy tales for both therapeutic and health purposes. Biblio-fairytale therapy is a reading stories, poems, humorous stories, humoresques, and fairy tales. In addition to health technologies that need to be actively used in working with preschoolers in order to improve their health, it should be paid attention to non-traditional technologies. Thus, lithotherapy and stone therapy is the use of stones in working with preschoolers. You can decorate the walls with stones, move it with your hands, massage your palms, and walk on stones, pebbles and so on. Su-jok therapy is a type of reflexology, the impact on biologically active points of the hands and feet. It is possible to influence both fingers, and various subjects. Qigong therapy is a type of breathing exercises, exercises combined with breathing and concentration. Exercises are performed standing, sitting, lying down, slowly, with concentration on the body. Hatha yoga – gymnastic exercises that are performed slowly from different positions: standing, sitting, lying down, in balance and more. They can be carried out daily, or as an independent form of work with compliance with the duration, or include some exercises in physical education classes, morning exercises and gymnastics after a nap, exercise, while a walk, before bedtime. Summarizing the above, it can be identified three approaches in the definition of traditional and non-traditional means: the first approach involves the use of only traditional means of physical education in work with children; the second – health technologies in combination with traditional means; the third – non-traditional technologies in combination with health technologies and traditional means. Originality. An overview of non-traditional technologies is made; three approaches in determining the importance of traditional and non-traditional means of children's health improving are derived. Conclusion. The material of the article allows us to conclude that the use of traditional means in health improving working with preschool children is important for their health.
