Abstract
The study is aimed to determine and systemize the factors of regional development, influencing industrial activity of territories of different functional types, based on the criterion of endogeneity and exogeneity of the sources of industrial changes, and to substantiate the priorities of state's influence when territorially-oriented mechanisms of industrial development will be introduced. The proposals are prepared for improvement the basics of governmental policy in the sphere of industrial development taken into account the spatial aspect. The emphasis has been done at the need to ensure the balanced realization of regional industrial potential and efficient transformation of regional industrial systems in order to build the national economy's competitiveness. The factors of regional development, influencing the industrial activity of functional types of territories are suggested as targets of the system of criterial assessment of communities' and territories' attribution to certain functional types.
