Abstract
This article is dedicated to the research and reading literary salon as intellectual entertainment in the noble family of Kharkiv province in the 19th century. Attention is focused on the study of the literary preferences of individual members of the nobility and Sloboda sense of literary salons in spreading cultural elite linkages and the development of cultural and scientific spheres Slobozhanschyna in this period.
