Abstract
The article is devoted to the biblical series of Gely Korzhev. Artist first addressed biblical themes late in life, at the end of the 1980s. This grandiose undertaking became the main subject of the last years of the artist's life, who died in august 2012.These paintings spent many years in artist's studio and was exhibited for the first time in 2012 in the Institute of Russian Realist Art in Moscow. Today, these paintings are exciting genuine interest and giving a new look at the art of one of the most remarkable and significant soviet artist.
