Abstract
Background: The questionnaire of neurotic and neurosis-like disorders (BVNK- 00) has been used in psychodiagnostics since 1983, however its psychometric characteristics and the effectiveness of using this tool in clinical practice have not been evaluated yet. BVNK-300 was developed on the basis of classical test theory, which is not designed to measure latent psychological constructs. The purpose of this phase of the study was the construction of a primary factor structure of the new technique, created on the basis of the BVNK-300. Material and methods. The study was conducted in the psychoneurological department of the healthcare institution “Grodno City Clinical Hospital №3”. A group of 286 patients took part in the investigation based on the Rasch model. Results: A primary factor structure of the new technique based on the BVNK-300 was developed, a meaningful analysis of the structure of the derived factors was performed. Conclusions. 1. It is necessary to use a new modern model of constructing techniques based on the Rasch model for obtaining a high quality diagnostic tool. 2. The derived factors will be further converted into the new diagnostic instrument scales.
