The main sources of the study which is consisted of two parts are the archive documents, eighteen yearbooks which were published in different years belonged to Kastamonu Province, and the yearbook dated in 1925 and belonged to Bolu Province, the local newspapers published in Düzce and the center of province Bolu. In the first part of our article, the changes in the administrative structure of Düzceoccurred in time during the Ottoman Empire are handled under two sub-headings. Düzce's administrative structure from the conquest to the 19th C. and the changes which were occurred in Düzce's administrative structure in 19th C. are examined in this part. The administrative structure of Düzce during the Republic period is discussed in the second part.
