FORMING OF PROFESSIONAL IDENTITY OF SOCIAL WORKERS WITH THE HELP OF TRAININGS

Abstract

The article states the essence of the interpretation of the term "training" by domestic and foreign scientists. It shows the main aspects of understanding the social roles to help students learn specific areas of professional activity during studying, namely: role as a sample of socially specified behavior and attitudes with a greater or lesser degree of certainty; role as a strategy of behaviour directed on mastering the situation of a particular type; role as a system of expectations for people of a certain status; role as an action and fulfillment of certain requirements of a person assigned to this role. The leading tasks of psychological training of future social workers professional identity formation are defined, namely: diagnosis of the professional identity development; development of the cognitive, emotional-evaluative and behavioral components of professional identity; treatment of the acquired skills, qualities, characteristics and prevention of the professional marginalism. The first task includes: high level of education and culture, awareness of the significant professional issues range, professional competence; friendly attitude towards others (kindness, love for people, willingness to help, tolerance, compassion, altruism, compassion); communication skills (high level of communication skills, social courage, initiative, ability to manage people, to influence their positions and beliefs, ability to inspire confidence to themselves and maintain the morale of the men); moral-ethical level (selflessness, honesty, integrity, responsibility, high morals); psychological aging (diligence, energy, perseverance in achieving goals, and a willingness to experience psychological discomfort). For the implementation of the second task, the following exercises for using on the social workers professional identity development trainings are proposed: "Keys" K.Phopel, "One-day-man" G.Abramova, "Life space" A.Kronik, "Perspective" I. Melnichuk (the development of symbolic thinking, searching and expanding new perspectives, skills training to long-term planning); "Professional portrait", "My goal”, “Values of professional activity", "Credo", "Map of my goals", "Plus and minus" (the development of ideas about the future, the formation of a positive image and professional I of the future, define your own professional goals, mapping goals and level of achievement in the future professional activity and their comparison with the values of society in relation to future profession); "Improving professionalism", "Point of view" V.Babaitseva, "Advertising services" I.Vackova, "Job analysis" O.Ivanova (identifying the professional image of I and professionally important qualities). As for the third task, re-using the individual diagnostic methods for further comparison and analysis are recommended (e.g., methodology of the study of the statuses of professional identity, methods of study of value orientations M.Rokicha, mini-test "Professional position" and "Analysis of personal characteristics").
