Abstract

This article examines problems of information-analytical competence of future specialists in the field of national security. The author of the article has carried out the analysis of literature of home and foreign researchers and defined pedagogical terms of building information-analytical competence of future specialists in the field of national security in the process of foreign language training. Foreign language skills are an integral part of training a future expert in the field of national security. Higher military educational institutions train future security sector professionals how to collect and analyze necessary information, transform it into knowledge and use in their job. Pedagogical terms have an important role in the efficient building of information-analytical competence of future national security experts in the process of foreign language training. Pedagogical terms form the basis of improving the teaching and learning process in highly qualified specialists training. Theoretical analysis of psychological, educational, methodical literature and our own monitoring prove that the successful shaping of information-analytical competence of professionals should be based on the activity, competence, systematic and the student-as-person centered approaches. Implementation of information-analytical competence building model may be successful in the case of applying the following pedagogical conditions: - providing positive motivation of future specialists to learn more; - introducing learner-centered pedagogical technologies, new means of teaching methods in building information-analytical competence of professionals in the field of national security (e.g. project work); implementing of pedagogical innovative technologies aimed at developing critical thinking; - considering individual psychological characteristics of future specialists in the process of foreign language training: knowledge of what constitutes perceptual learning style preferences of future specialists (visual, auditory, kinesthetic) might help the tutor select a training strategy; - organizing of self-study work of future specialists by means of information and communication technologies that contribute to the development of their creative abilities; - using of information technology as a means of creating an information environment that is important for information-analytical competence-based learning process of higher military educational institutions.
