INTERCULTURAL COMPETENCE OF FUTURE SPECIALISTS AS PSYCHOLOGICAL AND PEDAGOGICAL PROBLEMS

Abstract

In the article the essence of intercultural competence of future specialists is defined. The problem of formation of intercultural competence of future specialists in the process of mastering humanitarian cycle disciplines is of particular relevance for the high school. This development can be as a means of adapting to future conditions of social and professional activities. Upbringing of intercultural competence is one of the goals of modern higher education. The study of culture is undoubtedly the basis for the development of intercultural competence. The appeal of researchers to the problem of the dialogue of cultures in a new way raises challenges to the education system. Concerning the high school, to the forefront are nominated the issues of education in students a culture of communication, training them to “dialogue of cultures”. One of the conditions of implementation of the educational process should be a certain level of intercultural competence development of the future specialist. In the article under consideration the communicative functions (instrumental, integrative, self-expression, broadcasting, social control, socialization, expression; informational, social, expressive, pragmatic, interpretive, expression (expressive), circulation (appellative) and message (representative), have been analyzed which are closely related and are present in any form of communication. In the article methodological approaches (functional, descriptive and critical) to the study of intercultural communication have been revealed and researched. In the article applied methods for the study of intercultural communication (biographical reflection, observation, interactive modeling, role-playing, self-evaluation, simulation) have been clarified the usage of which allows to prepare future professionals for effective contacts with other cultures, promote the development of intercultural competence. Therefore, for the formation of students' intercultural competence should be paid particular attention to the issue of intercultural communication. For this purpose can be used the active forms and methods of teaching: discussions, educational games, analysis of specific situations, trainings, allowing to immerse students into active-controlled communication where they can prove their identity (personal and quasi-professional) and interact with each other, using design patterns and strategies.
