Abstract

Introduction. The search for innovative ways of transforming the structure and the content of professional training of Masters in Public Administration under the conditions of integration processes of society development. Purpose. Comparative and pedagogical analysis on some aspects of professional training of Masters in Public Administration at American and Ukrainian universities. Results. Comparative and pedagogical analysis has been carried out at theoretical, legislative, organizational-pedagogical and technological levels. It has been established that the processes of training Masters in Public Administration in the United States and Ukraine have both common and distinctive features. The legislative and normative support of higher education in Ukraine and the USA has been considered. Comparative analysis on structural, content, organizational and pedagogical principles of training Masters in Public Administration at American and Ukrainian universities has been presented on the examples of Ivan Franko Lviv National University and George Washington University. Some positive aspects of organization of the education process of training Masters in Public Administration in American experience have been highlighted; prospective directions of training Masters in Public Administration in Ukraine have been outlined. Originality. The basic directions for creative using American experience within the educational space of Ukraine have been justified. Conclusion. The main directions for using American experience, which can enrich both theory and practice of training Ukrainian Masters in Public Administration and promote the entry of Ukrainian higher education into the global educational space, have been singled out. They are changes in the structure and the system of higher education institutions management; integration of higher education, science and production; introduction of a real system of Masters' optional training; improvement of the system of lecturers and students' academic mobility; enhancement of teaching quality at universities.
