Primary school teachers, methodologists, and scholars offer more attention to the project activity of students in order to stimulate interest in learning, developing a child through a free choice of subject, solving learning problems and applying knowledge gained in a particular activity. The subject "I am in the world" is taught in 3-4 classes of general education institutions. It is built on a concentrated model. Studying this subject contributes to the development of key competencies of students, including civic competence directly related to historical education. The analysis of the textbooks "I am in the World", recommended by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine for 3 classes, revealed a difference in their structure and content. At the same time, both textbooks correspond to the updated curriculum and allow the teacher to use them efficiently in the classroom, completing interesting material for the purpose of expanding knowledge, securing skills, education and comprehensive development of elementary school students.
