Abstract

The article deals with the features of formation of professional culture of future tourism managers. It is proved that the process of preparing of future tourism managers should be based on prognostic study of tourism in Ukraine. The purpose of the article is to analyze the peculiarities of professional culture formation of the future tourism managers in terms of higher education. Methods. Analyses, synthesis, comparison, systematization of scientific views on various aspects of preparing of future tourism managers. Results. It is grounded that the indexes of formation of professional culture are professional qualities having allowed to create innovative social and cultural space; manage to work in a team (communication, activity, tolerance); are manifested in the ability to self-organization and collective action; interaction in the team; professional communication; tolerant perception of culture and other countries and peoples customs; work in a multicultural environment for successful cross-cultural communication interaction in international tourism exchange (business); criticism and self-criticism; work independently and autonomously; operate from positions of social responsibility; perform professional activities in accordance with the quality standards; creating a culture of thinking, its perception; teaching; adaptation to new situations in professional activities. Originality. The basic idea of tourism manager training is known as the concept of directing this process to absorption features of future specialists of tourism industry in Ukraine, the mastery of modern knowledge about the strategic management characteristics and planning of tourist business; skills formation of informational and analytical management activities; formation of personal, professional qualities and professional competence and therefore – professional culture. Conclusion. Future tourism specialists should be prepared to perform certain functions, roles and form a new professional culture.
