Abstract

Introduction. It is stressed that the new Ukrainian school requires urgent tasks. An important role in the realization of these tasks is to carry out regional studies, which ensures the connection of the process of education and education of Ukrainian youth with the peculiarities of folk culture and the environment, promotes consolidation of the younger generation, the formation of patriotic feelings and the conviction of the unity of Ukrainian land. The «Concept of Local History Education and Education» (2000) states that in the educational institutions of Ukraine training of specialists in regional studies is carried out through the creation of the departments of Ukrainian studies and local lore, the introduction of local lore cycles of disciplines, the introduction of special courses or separate linguistic themes into the educational process. Purpose. To elucidate the specifics of the preparation of students of pedagogical technical schools for regional studies in the outlined chronological period. Results. An attempt was made to present the first attempts to use local material in the process of studying by students of pedagogical technical schools of various educational disciplines. The methods and forms of preparation of students for local studies at the school in the 20-30th years of the twentieth century are analyzed. The emphasis is on teaching and extra-curricular work, organization of practical training of students of pedagogical technical schools for local studies at the school. Conclusion. The integrated education system has been in operation since the mid-1920s and laid the foundations for a new educational paradigm. Its implementation involves a waiver of the traditional system and promotes the idea of an integrated perception of the world through active creative methods of learning.
