Abstract
In the paper, an analysis of the experience of the European Union in
the formation of educational policy was carried out based on official documents, scientific literature and changes in education within the territory of Europe. It was established that the EU from the very beginning pursued the policy on the principle of cooperation, support and complementarity to strengthen «the spirit of Europeanism». Such areas included improvement of the quality of education and development of a vocational training system.
