Abstract
This work consists of a bibliographic study about the difficulties and learning of pounds as a first language for hearing-impaired students and was to expose objective difficulty and learning of POUNDS in students with deafness and sought to discuss the importance and the difficulties encountered by students with hearing impairment and deafness where sign language is the primary means of communication between students with deafness .. to conduct the survey, told with the Botelho studies (2005), Bortoloti (2013) Tables (1997, 2008), among others. It was found that the deaf
students acquire sign language as a first language to build their identity and then that student may have contact with the second majority language.
