Abstract
According to Law of Directives of National Education – LDBEN-9.394/96, school and family have a responsibility and monitor education in all aspects to ensure autonomy and provide conditions of civic education of students. The collective participation of school and family, in building the political-pedagogical project, and a democratic school management are legitimately necessary to improve the quality of education of students. This study aims to presente the importance of integration between school and family institutions in the educational process of the child towards a quality education and preparation for adult life in society. The theme was chosen because it is a relevant issue in the educational and family environment at present and after observations in the school Isaltina Pereira Araújo in the city Barra do Corda-MA.
