Abstract
The detection of Child Abuse early is a great measure of prevention and care for students who, because of their family and social situation, is at risk. The school, along with the family, are the first agents of socialization for the minor, hence the importance of teacher training for detection, prevention and intervention in case of any indication of child abuse in their classrooms or in the context of Center in which they develop their educational work. The work presented presents the causes and factors of the occurrence of child maltreatment in the family, as well as the indicators that manifest the children in this situation, in order to give a theoretical explanation to this phenomenon that appears in some of our centers Educational, and for which the faculty is not really prepared to face.
