Abstract
This study, a cut of the master's dissertation, sought to detect and intervene in learning difficulties in the 5th grade classes of the Tomé Francisco da Silva State School, Quixaba / PE. To do this, it is necessary to determine the professional qualifications of the teachers, to identify the methods used in the school to detect the learning difficulties, as well as to recognize the intervention procedures applied to the learning difficulties detected and to identify the teaching methodologies of the school to solve learning difficulties. Comparative type research, qualitative method, with descriptive paradigm. The data collected was given through the application of an interview with the management team and teachers. It is concluded that there is an excellent and differentiated work in the school, this only does not reach excellence due to the inexistence of professionals as psych pedagogues in order to deal better with learning difficulties.
