Abstract
Cognitive universal educational actions of the younger student along with other types of universal educational actions are the central concepts. However, despite the undeniable importance of cognitive universal educational actions in the process of intellectual and creative development of younger students, their consideration in the program documents of the Federal Educational Standards is reduced only to the representation of the component composition. This research reveals the essence of cognitive universal educational actions of the younger schoolchild as a pedagogical phenomenon. The article deals with the key characteristics of cognitive universal educational actions of younger students, their internal and external structure, as well as the features of their formation.
